Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning 2012 Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning is the most intense movie that Scott Adkins made so far. There are also parts with Dolph Lundgren and Jean-Cladue van Damme, but Scott Adkins has the lead role.
Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning
Scott Adkins, who plays de charactor of John awakens from a coma to discover his wife and daughter were brutally murdered in a home invasion. John, haunted by images of the attack, vows to kill the man responsible: Luc Deveraux, one of the original Universal Soldiers.
As the movie continues, John begins to look less like the victim, and more like an unhinged, Frankenstein-esque creation that slowly becomes hell bent on destroying the people responsible for his very existence.
This movie is hyper-violent. Scott Adkins is absolutely brutal. In terms of violence, Day of Reckoning crosses the line from blood-splatters-and-bone-cracks gore into outright body horror; Especially, a scene where Scott kills somebody with a hammer is very violent...
Co-stars of Scott Adins in this film are Dolph Lundgren and Jean-Claude van Damme. Both have limited screen time, but they do both have an extensive fight scene with Scott Adkins. But Scott is perfectly capable of killing both gentlemen. Plus he’s even killing his own alter-ego in this movie.
