The Brothers Grimsby

The Brothers Grimsby, 2016

Nobby (Sacha Baron Cohen), a sweet but dimwitted English football hooligan, has everything a man from the poor fishing town of Grimsby could want, including 9 children and the most attractive girlfriend in the Northern England. There’s only one thing missing: his little brother, Sebastian, who Nobby has spent 28 years searching for after they were separated as kids. Nobby sets off to reunite with Sebastian, unaware that not only is his brother MI6’s deadliest assassin, but he’s just uncovered plans for an imminent global terrorist attack. On the run and wrongfully accused, Sebastian realizes that if he is going to save the world, he will need the help of its biggest idiot.

Scott plays the Ukranian assassin who launches into Cohen with a flurry of flying kicks.

Scott Adkins about his role in this movie:
“I got paid to kick Sacha Baron Cohen’s butt! He’s got the perfect face for punching.  It was a very pleasurable job, He has one of those faces you just want to punch. Nobby’s got a gut, stupid hair and a daft grin – and is always drunk and on some sort of drug.”

“When it came to that scene, I spent one day fighting a stunt double and then one day fighting Sacha himself. When it’s the star you have to be much more careful and you end up pulling the kicks – but I kicked the stunt double in the chest really hard. I’d done the scene twice and was struggling for the third so I really went for it!

“Sacha didn’t want to get hurt – and I can’t blame him! He’s not the type of actor who is into the rough and tumble. Some actors are really into it, people like Hugh Jackman, Jason Statham and Matt Damon, but not Sacha!”
